As King Schmiedt disembarked at the port of Catobellum, he is greeted by a crowd of men in white robes. They began to sing as he walks off the boat. Their voices seemingly travel across the water. The city's sky is untouched by the rapid rise of industry. The mood of the city was unique. A sense of enlightenment and happiness was all around. No motorcade was provided, the King was to walk to the cathedral, where he would be crowned by the Grand Ecclesiarch. As he was escorted by the pearl white stone roads, the cloaked priests were burning incenses and some spoke quietly while holding the Codex of Cato. Onlookers watched in silence or spoke softly. The cathedral towered over most buildings. Its five spires cutting the sun's beams that blanketed the city.
As they approached, bells all throughout the city rang. The flights of stairs that lead up to the cathedral's door was flanked by guards holding rifles across their chest. As the king approached the door, servants pushed the door open revealing the surreal atmosphere within the cathedral. Hundreds of people were already inside and watched the King enter the building. The candle lit cathedral was a vast contrast to the radiant outside. He could see several elaborate men, six to be exact, at the end of the walk way and upon a stage. Behind them an enormous mosaic window, depicting the Apotheosizing of Cato, being handed the pentacle from the sky. From where the kind walked, the left side was entirely men and his right flank women. Everyone was clad in white, except for a few clustered groups, who were affiliated with sub-sects and organizations. As the king walked down the path, a mans voice from upon the staged boomed and gathered the crowd.
"Behold, my brother and sisters, King Adelheid Schmiedt of Osterheide!"
The man raised his arms as he spoke, but the sun cast his shadow across the room, making his face near impossible to see from afar. Beside King Schmiedt approached Pontiff Blandus.
The man who spoke, whom soon to be revealed as Grand Ecclesiarch Paxton, broadcasted his voice through the echoing hall of the cathedral. "Come, King Schmiedt and kneel before me, the Saints of the Missersiah and the Great Prophet Cato."
Schmiedt began to ascend the stairs. The aroma of scenes filled his head. He kneeled on both legs before the Patriarchs and Grand Ecclesiarch. He looked up and could now see their faces, which were a mix of stern and enlightened young and old men. The Grand Ecclesiarch wore a grand smile as he spoke.
The Grand Ecclesiarch began the coronation.
"Today here, in Catobellum, the battle grounds of Cato, the Great Prophet of God, we convene to see that Adelheid Schmiedt, King of Oserheide, is a sacred ruler bestowed upon the southern lands to enact the services of the Miserssiah." He continued on to speak and lifted an elaborate crown from a cushion. It glimmered in the sunlight which poured like water through the stained glass. The crown was a laurel with hands protruding from clouds that held up a golden pentacle. White, brown, and cream jewels dotted the crown. The Grand Ecclesiarch slowly place the crown upon Aschmiedt.
"In enlightenment of the lands of Osterheide, with the will of the Miserssiah guiding you, grant upon you with honor, chivalry, displayed by the Great Prophet Cato as he struggled with the condemned, I command you to embody Cato as your new role as Martinet of Osterheide." The crowd began to cheer and throw various flowers.
The Ecclesiarch drew a sword and tapped the arms, legs, and finally the head of Martinet Schmiedt. "Rise, brother. Enact the will of Cato!"
